I am repairing a friends 2000 Explorer.
Just finished the upper control arms, lower ball joints, shocks all around and front sway bar endlinks.
Now I'm on to the little stuff. This vehicle was involved in a minor front collision which is why my friend was able to buy it at a reasonable cost. The body repairs are good and paint matches well, just some of the little details were overlooked. One being replacement of the ambient temperature sensor that feeds the overhead console temperature display. I have looked and looked for the location where it might thread into the header panel but as of now have not found it's proper location. The image I was shown at the dealer puts it somewhere behind the drivers side headlight. I also have looked at my 1998 Explorer and haven't found it either.
Anyone know exactly where the sensor belongs on the body?
And I have a new clock spring to install. Any speciifc instructions to follow?
Thank you.
