Anyone have the bed extender option on their newer SD? How is the quality? I'm thinking about adding on when I buy my upfitter switches and powerfold mirrors. Any feedback would be great.

Just be aware, $350+ dollars from your dealer for that. Just checked. Quality seems good enough for what it's meant to do but boy, Ford sure is proud of that thing for the amount of money they want.
I have a 2009 F250 4X4 cc LB. I have the bed extender and have used it a few times. The quality to me is good. Its sturdy. Its a little akward to use at first. Its a two piece that fits well together and locks into place firmly. I have used it with the tailgate open for the big stuff. I have used it with the tailgate close to create a small area between the bed extender and the tailgate. I think because of its design. Being a two piece that folds away when you do not need it and allowing complete usage of the bed when its folded away. And having it bolted in and being there when you need it. Its a must option. I most likely would not buy another truck without getting one.
Here are some pics of the bed extender in an f150. I like how it folds up out of the way when you don't need it, unlike most aftermarket ones... I don't haul much, so the bed extender would be mainly used for groceries. I hate smashed bread. Lol.
