The autometer works great you just have to calibrate it and that is the hard part. I have one on my 7.3. You just have to make sure you place the magnetic pick up in the correct spot on the alternator. I Used my tiny tach to calibrate the autometer as I still use the tiny tach to keep track of the hours.
