Turn Signal Problems
Bagged a deer back in November with the left front of my '95 Explorer Sport. After I got it back, my left turn signal flashed about twice as fast as the right one. I figured a bulb must be out and checked them all on the left side - front and rear - and they're fine. I replaced them anyway just to see if there was some discrepancy between the new front and the old rear turn lamps. No change. I compared the left side bulbs to the right and no difference. I'm about to replace the turn signal relay but I have a feeling that's not going to do anything either. Anybody have anything like this before? Emergency Flashers work normally.

Turn Signal Problems
Did you ever hook up a trailer and notice that with the extra loading on the signals they flash faster than normal? You may have a short in the wiring to the front lamp unit between the signal element and park element. The extra current draw would cause a standard signal flasher to speed up. Replacing with a heavy duty unit designed for the extra load of trailers may slow it back down, but not fix the original problem. I would check the wiring with a voltmeter and make sure only 1 element is being energized at a time.
