MILD MODIFICATIONS

Thought about doin a few minor,CHEAP, horsepower modifications to my efi 88 5.0 in my 4x4.Has anybody got any suggestions?I really appreciate all the input and tips.Thanks.

in all reality a cam swap, headers, better air intake, upgraded ignition

exactly what I was thinking but neither option falls under the "cheap" or "minor" category

you want to talk about expensive go check prices on mopar crap. my dad just picked up a rust free pretty sweet 67 coronet 500. you damn near have to win the lottery to play with toys like that.

sure they are. Granted you can't buy as much junk for the same money for a ford BUT you can make MORE hp with a Ford with less crap on it.


And how do I know? I worked for Chevy, and drove a Ford to work everyday. I also choose to race fords.

^^^^ couldn't be more true. I have had near stock 302s beat near stock 350s all day long.

My 351M has out ran 454s in similar setup pickups. It was fun dragging that chevy around backwards too

Bump the timing up from the stock 10* BTDC to around 14*
