tranny problems
I bought a C-6 transmission off of a friend, who said everything was working good when he parked it, which was two years ago. I took it to a 4x4 tranny shop to have the rear shaft swapped. It was a normal 2WD tranny which I had converted to a 4WD by swapping the tail shaft. I got my truck all together (engine, tranny, vacuum lines, etc., new torque convertor), got it all running, put it in gear and it jumped out of gear. When I rev it up, it jumps back into gear. What's going on and how do I fix it? Please help!

i agree make sure that level is full ... if it's full take it to the tranny shop and have them service it and test the pressure might have a leaky seal, that might happen if it sits for awhile, the seals dry out and crack. on another note I have had a tranny problem before too, I picked her up at a gas station and it didn't take me long to figure it out after she or he or it got into the car...... whew that was a close one.. no but really i had a trans that would pop out of reverse and would slip going around turns and wouldn't ya know it, it was low on fluid
