So, I just took my rig into Big Fidy's in Concord Ca and they swapped in some new headlights for me (pics of that coming soon) They turned out so well, that I decided to swap in a new grille.
It seems like EVERYONE is running those RBP grilles now. I dont want what everyone has, but I was curious just to check out their website. And in my ABSOLUTE DISBELIEF these grilles AVERAGE $1500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!
So, I found this custom grille in a 1994 Bronco. It was in a spread in Truckin mag. RBP do not make grille for our rigs, so this is definately custom.
id just get a grill from a jy as a replacement in case you mess up. Take your grill out, cut out the internals of it so you just have the outside, then use a fiberglass patch kit or similar and patch anything needed, fill in any spots with glazing putty, and let it cure. Then sand it all down, prime it. When thats dry, get a led kit or lighting like in the pic, drill your holes, insert led's and wire it all up. That should be fairly easy. It was going to be my plan when i first painted my grill black but i couldnt get the right USN CPO emblem for the center so when my dad can, he is making one. Then i will do it. I was going to use a fine metal mesh for radiator protection and just screw it in to place. Paint it all black and call it good. Mine wasnt going to have little led's all around it but i was planning two small hid lights to shine out on either side of the anchor. ahhh one day hahaha
