Ive got a 93 f250. Installed new injectors and a reman pump from pensacola. It runs way better and doesnt smoke blue like it did before but I cant get the idle under about 800 rpm. Could the timing be too far advanced? Thanks for any help
the fast idle still works but is also higher than it should be, the cold advance is working, and it still idles high after they shut off, and the idle screw is backed out all the way
the fast idle is adjustable u need to back it off with a 1/4 wrench then set the idle then reset the fast idle u need to leave some play in the fast idle shaft so the lever dont rest on the shaft but on the idle screw i had that problem
i don't think id worry too much myself.
isn't stock idle 750 rpms? 50 more rpms isn't going to hurt anything.
as far as timing goes though, you'll want that set correctly with a timing meter now to get the most out of the new ip and injectors.
you've gone this far.you're just shy of a total idi tune up!
good to hear she's running good again.
