Need Help with Modification!!!!

Hey Guys,

I have a 2000 Eddie Bauer 5.4L 4x4 with Load Leveling Suspension. I already have a Air Raid Intake. I want to add headers, new cat, catback, and chip. i have only been able to find out info on the Gibson headers, what others are out there that are high quailty. i am thinking of useing a Car-Sound 3 inch in and out Cat, with a Magnaflow Catback, or K&N Catback. so the help i need is on headers and the CatBack. any ideas? what does everyone feel about the SuperChips. are they high quality and do they really build the chip around you mods, or do they just say that? also if i add a supercharger in the future will they be able to reconfigure my chip to work with the supercharger? any help is appreshiated.

Thanks
Scott

Need Help with Modification!!!!

Scott,
The Gibson Headers will work best for your expy. You will need to remove the front drive shaft and both inner fenders.
The pass. side is a breeze,The drivers side on the other hand is a tight fit (would have used my 10 year old to get to the bolts if he could tighten them enough) Before you start go buy a new EGR tube and 2 new O2 sensors. Headers are a pain but worth it . To make true duals I used a Gibson Dual in dual out muffler dont worry about cat sensor on Y pipe it does not matter what side the cat sensor reads because your muffler serves as an H pipe and mix chamber(tuning) also enables you to route tailpipes to both sides. Need any other tips I have done just about as much as you can to my expy. IE - Headers, cat back, lift (4 inches),315/70/r16s,computer mods.,underdrive pullys, piaa light inserts/fogs/driving,paxton 10 psi supercharger, high volume fuel pump, larger 31 psi injectors, ETC. Been there - done that - seen that GOOD LUCK CL

Need Help with Modification!!!!

Thanks for the replies

I did the Gibson headers and I found out I could not do the new cat because my 2000 has 2 cats on it. and it would be way to much work. I chose the Magnaflow catback, I had it jethotted for durability. I did the Grannittelli motorsports mass air flow sensor. and a air raid intake. i am going to do the superchip to but am waiting to put the catback on. my expy is much faster now, thanks

I sprung??? for the JBL stainless headers for mine. I have yet to install them though due to bad weather. I have heard that it is a 6.5 hour installation. Will let you know...
