Anybody have problems with large items sliding forward in the bed during braking? More specifically problems with those items putting big dents in the front wall of the bed? Also if anybody knows of any stories or websites having to do with trucks getting in accidents with stuff in the back, can you please post? Thanks.
Well I dont know about anybody else, but before i haul anything, large or small in my truck, its getting Tied or strapped down. too much effort is required to fix needless dents. As far as the websites go you might try looking on yahoo or one of the other popular search engines.
I have been using a bed liner made from 3/8" rubber, it fits the bed perfectly, although the sidewalls aren't protected. Things tend to stay put much better than with the 'plastic' liners. Bigger loads are still tied down due to concerns for safety in an accident.
Jim, If the question is to me, my liner was purchased from Wall-Mart several years ago. All it is is a roll of rubber, similar to the sidewalls of a tire, with the cord inside, cut-outs for the wheel wells also came with the tailgate cover. It was in the $30-$40 range and I think they still sell them.
Anything not tied down with the 'plastic' liners turns into a rocket when you touch your brakes.
