460 Bell Housing Question
I have a 400 motor with a flex plate for a C6. I'm trying to start it on a test stand, but I need to mount the starter, so i can start it. It has no trans at the moment.
I purchased a used 460 Bell Housing. It fits the block, but the starter mounting holes are too far from the flexplate.
I guess that the 460 with a manual flywheel has a larger diameter ring gear than an automatic flexplate.
I know that the C6s interchange.
Will a 400 manual flywheel work with a 460 bell?
