speed density
Speed Density is the opposite of Mass Air. With speed density no air coming into the engine is metered. The computer uses preset fuel maps and other sensor data to calculate the needed fuel. With Mass Air the incoming air is metered and fuel is added based on the rate of incoming air and other sensor data.
Most fords made after 88 are mass air.
Hey black-bronco,
Look at your intake system between your air filter and your throttle body. If there is no Mass Air Meter than it is speed density.

Looking for the mass air sensor is definitely the easiest way to find out!
