Oil Breather - Help

Maybe you guys over here can help. Can I plug the oil breather line that runs from the filler neck to the air cleaner box without doing any damage? Not familiar with this set up, but the line is split and it seems that I am losing oil from the split. There's oil on top of the power steering pump cap.

Any help is appreciated.

Oil Breather - Help

don't plug it...replace it and the PCV valve on the valve cover as well. This system reduces crankcase pressure, and if you screw with it, or eliminate it you will have oil blowing out your dipstick and your rear main seal.

When I installed my custom K&N I just put the filter I found in the airbox directly on the oil filler cap, where the hose to it is supposed to go. Works great.

Thanks for all the advice. I checked the PCV and it is stuck half open. Gonna pick up a new one today and probably replace the lines. Don't know when it was last replaced, I have put 15k on the truck and didn't think to check the PCV.
