Lock actuators not attached to bracket....
Anyway, the door locks on my '81 Ranger Lariat don't work. I pulled a door panel, and found that the lock solenoid appears to be hanging loose. Looks like it was held into a upside down "U" on the bracket using rubber bushings, which have give out.
Will new rubber bushings just hold it in there? Or is there something broken here?
The bracket appears to be held in with a rivet, otherwise I'd pull the bracket and "find a way" to attatch the solenoid.
I will try and take pictures this evening, if anyone is confused.
I need to find some lock-spray today at work to lube this stuff up too....
1: Power Door Locks with either A or B.
2: manual door locks with either A or B.
A: Manual or power door locks with mechanical push button ***** above the door armrests.
B: Manual or power with manual Slide Lock Door lock controls, below the door armrest.
Which do you have?

This is a '81, with the horizontal sliding locks, and they are power.
I am trying to figure out how to mount the solenoid to the bracket that holds it to the door frame...
