Like Penn Dick said, longer wheelbase at 122" for F-2/F-3 vs. 114" for F-1. The F-1 rails measure 5.92" tall x 2.25" wide x 0.15" thick. The F-2/F-3 are 6.00" x 2.25" x 0.19". The F-2/F-3 also have a bigger transmission cross member. The F-1 has four cross members while the F-2/F-3 has six. Stu
Thanks for the quick answers. It helps alot! The front of my F1 frame has been cut and also bent by the PO (forward of the engine cross member), I was thinking of welding in a section of an available F3 frame. Any thoughts?
I would check the f-3 frame to see if it was square and not twisted. Then shorten it to fit the cab and box to .If the f-1 frame has been cut off in front it may have been wrecked and damaged out of square. It may be less work to use the f-3 frame. It's been done a number of times here, maybe one of the members that have done it will help guide you.
Thanks Jim, the F3 frame is not complete it has been cut off (why I don't know) just aft of the engine mount. I have only seen pictures, look straight. Thought I could cut off what I need and weld it on? going to be a daily driver not a show truck.

Sorry i misunderstood you, i thought the f-1 frame was cut off and the f-3 was a good one. So I can't help you , good luck , jim
The dimensions of the two frames forward of the cab are the same but I believe the f2/f3 frames are a tad thicker. I've cut up quite a few but never actually measured the two.
Going to but the F3 frame that is available to me, althought it is not a "whole" frame will get just the part I need. Will let you all know haow it turns out
