Installed a new brake line to the rear brakes. The old one had sprung a leak.

Thanks but it doesnt include gas to drive the 2000 miles to grab it yet lol. Now I need to find a good sc, and flywheel if its a bb bellhousing.
The PO didnt know what he had, just that it wasnt a small block. So its one or the other.

Dont worry too much 00Boss. Like I was saying there are a lot of retro fit companies out there that make adapters. I know a guy on here that might be able to help you out if he ever gets all of his projects and mine out of his way.

He is a good machinist and he has a BB configutation motor to look at and I have a diesel ZF5 case laying in my garage. It will take an 8 page micro analysis to make a plan for it. However, it will be right when he is done.

Put in a new oil pump, rear main seal, speedometer cable, lots of fluids, and painted the tailgate flat black.

Yes, everyone knows he's talking about me when he says it'll take an 8 page anything. But, he had them confused about the machinist bit. Anyway, he also knows I have more projects than I'll ever get done, then there are his two E'brocks on the bench, and Ray's mufflers, and .......

Don't worry about my mufflers anytime soon. Ive hit a bankrupt spell and cannot justify spending any money on it at the moment. On the other hand Gary, if you need help with anything you just let me know, I am probably the closest FTE'r to you. It takes 15 minutes for me to get to your house so please don't be shy to ask for help.

I wasn't bemoaning the fact that we are going to do the mufflers, just explaining that I have quite a few things planned. In fact, I enjoy working with you. But, that bankrupt thing doesn't sound good - hope you get through that quickly.

As for the offer, I do appreciate it. At this point I'm into one-man things, but some day I'll need some help and you'll be high on the list to call. Thanks again.

I got my truck running recently after doing a distributor re curve, installing different metering rod springs in the carb, I had to eat a $40 intake gasket set but the second set I got it down right, their stupid instructions caused me to eat that set. Seems to be running quite a bit better than before. Has a lot more power and sounds better on acceleration now, and it doesn't stumble at 1300 RPM anymore!

If it really is a diesel trans then ill hold out till my engine swap to put it in. Does all of IH light and medium duty diesels use the SAE #2 bell housing, meanin I can take the plate off an idi and put it on a dt360 and use the same trans? I love the idea of a cummins but Fummins just sound wierd and IH just feels right in these trucks.

Tonight I pulled the old master cylinder/power brake booster assembly out of my truck. They are both bad, and I was curious as to whether or not the firewall was rusting behind the power brake booster. At first the booster wouldn't budge. I kept hearing crunching sounds, and I almost lost hope for clean sheet metal. But I finally pulled the booster off, and luckily the rust is only minor surface corrosion.

I also pulled the seat and carpet back out until I can find the sources of my cab leaks and seal them all up.
