That's probably why the family wouldn't let me do it.

I have always preferred cool looks over safety.

So, today I installed sway bar bushings on the front. Tried to do end links too, but the part at autozone didn't match. Oh, well. Time to check LMC.

Flushed the chocolate milk coolant. Installed new ignition module and replaced a fuse link.

The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys!

This was for Gary Lewis and his new acquisition...

Probably! At which point I'll be 79. But if I can still "play" I'll be a happy camper.

And an update on the trip back with Rusty pulling the car-hauler trailer with the 50 PU loaded. At one point I was entering a busy highway and got on it hard - and the right rear lit up. I never would have believed that would happen with the 351M, but it did. Not sure I understand how on dry pavement with no gravel and lots of tongue weight on the trailer, but I had to back off and go again.

All in all, my son was pleasantly surprised about how solid Rusty is and how well he tows. Just wait 'til Dad's truck is done.

Yep! And I've got toys lined up. However, there is already a line forming for some of them in the family.

I'm hoping to use the 50, if not the Super Bee, to get my son involved. I've already started bouncing ideas off of him on Dad's truck, and we've discussed several things on the Bee, but he has fallen in love with the 50. So I plan to get him more and more involved in the decision making as we start, and eventually some of the wrenching.

Good plan. I'm going to do the same. The boys wanted to help this weekend and "fixed" the horn with a piece of cardboard. The dog helped too.

My dog helping with the beast.

Did the dog eat the door panel? If not, that's the worst sun damage I've seen.

I was going to say the same thing.

I wired my LED lights to the dome light temporarily.
This way I can turn them on with the headlamp switch.

Sure, they come on when I open the door, but I used a waterproof power socket so I can leave them unplugged if I wish.

Maybe I'll get one of those map light housings so I can use that switch.

Map light housings and wiring harness? Do the 80-86 ones work on yours?

I have no idea what fits.

Just that if there was a socket with a switch I could likely commandeer it for the cargo light socket.

I have two 10W lamps and the dome light.
It does not pop the fuse or seem dim.

I'm going to go out and take a picture in the dark.
