In June of 2003 I had a: Glock 20, Glock 27 and a Remington 870 Express Magnum with an 18" Barrel and Pistol Grip stolen from me. The G27 was used in a couple of homicides and the others have yet to surface.
After collecting enough dust in the evidence room the Detective who I have been working with instructed me to get a Gun Release Letter from the Department of Justice in Sacramento, California.
After filling out the paperwork I sent it back to the DOJ and received a Formal Form with a Gold Seal which the Detective said I had to have.
Well, 10 years later I finally got the G27 (40 Caliber S&W Load) back!!!!
The perps banged it up a bit so I sent it to Glock North America in Smyrna, Georgia and they worked on it and returned it to Glock specifications.
Unbelievable!
Perhaps someday the other 2 will surface. I want to get my CCW and I should do it soon as you know there are several who want to take away our rights!
Sorry to hear that you got your guns stolen, but truely amazing story that you got one back and it was a pistol from California. And Glock overhauled it for you, wow.
YES you had better go get your CCW, before you loose that right!
You know this is the "Mo Chapters Members Map" thread and this story would go better in the monthly chat thread so everyone would know about it......
I am from Anderson and am not smart enough to figure out how to add to the map. I have done plenty of work for others and currently am on the hunt for a dent side for myself. I can do my own motor, paint and body work and like to get them back to stockish condition. I have had plenty of 4 wheel drive trucks but my next project is going to be a 2 wheel drive with comforts. I am finishing up a truck for a guy and then after that I am just going to work on mine or help others work on theirs.
Name is Terry and 67 is my birth year. Not sure which year of truck or model I will end up with so I just kept it simple.
