As usual, I enjoy reading each one of your threads. I always walk away learning something. Did your Gibson exhaust change the hp and torque output? Since the stock exhaust sounds pretty good and seems large enough to limit exhaust restrictions, I have to wonder how much the Gibson improved your situation.

Very nice to see see the RPMs and hear Front Runner's comparison between his 3.73 and your 4.30. I opted for the 3.73 on mine since the 6 speed package would allow me greater flexibility in picking more gears while fuel economy should be better with the 3.73. Looks like the difference is approximately one gear.

On a different note (no PM capability yet), I like your 5th wheel shelter. Where did you get it, and did you install yourself or contract it?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike

I installed the Gibson knowing i would do some sort of intake with it. Both intake and exhaust did increase hp/tq to the ground , look under the 6.2L for that graph. The RV shelter was installed by a contractor. works out great I think the company was carolina car port dot com... might google rv ports..

Finally. Got some pics of my soon to be ex-truck doing the work of a big boy truck. It did all that I asked it to but time to haul a little easier. Hopefully new F-250 will be in this coming week.

I have the goose neck adapter on our Wildcat its worked great for me over last 2 years since i installed. I just got tired of the 5 ver hitch being in the way when not towing. The SCT works via obdii port reflash pcm and then unplug and store away. By the way got any pics of your Wildcat hooked up to the F150? Ford tough right

Nice Rig!

I will be ordering a F250 6.2 this coming spring and was thinking about getting the 5th wheel outfit with it.
My understanding about goosneck adapters is that it will put to much stress on the 5er frame, can you alaborate or give your take on this?
Any pics from it?

I really like that turnover Idea and like to get a 5er one day.

Also I really, really hate to sell my 99 7.3 but it is now or never.

Thanks for the post.
I have read about the stress the adapters put on the trailer but i have not experienced any issues with ours. I do really like the turnover ball with a short bed it works great not having the 5ver hitch in the bed of the truck. Here is the one i am using.

I have the same gooseneck hitch in my truck. I do not have a 5th wheel, but would purchase the Turnoverball's "Companion" 5th wheel adapter that fits in the turnover ball's gooseneck ball slot if I did. I've never been fond of the gooseneck trailer adapters, so that soultion works better, IMO.

Hey Mike have you ever considered firestone ride rite air bags for you truck. I installed the kit on my 08 f150fx4 for towing my travel trailer witch had a toung weight of 980. It smoothed out the rid alote no back breaking bumps. I also put in the compressor as well so I could tweak it on the fly.

Hi Gordon
I had bags on some other trucks this one seems to be fine so far. I do like the bags though they do work great. I had the air lines run through the bottom 2 holes of the license plate on the truck.
