Frame cleaning

I was wondering what the best way to clean the frame is. I know I can get the rust with a wire wheel on a grinder, but that will not even touch the undercoating on the bottom and sides of the frame. Thanks for the opinions.
Pictures of frame are in my album.

sand blast clean or pressure wash clean??

Steam cleaner will do a good job for what your trying to do but steam is the trick. Just plan on getting wet and dirty when on the ground on your back side, not fun but necessary.

Sandblast (without actual sand, of course).

I guess I am going to have to scrap off the undercoating because my sandblaster is not strong enough. Sucks because I just bought 10 bags of rough media.

I used a sandblaster, with aluminum oxide. Big thing is to have a compressor that can maintain pressure. I used right around 100 psi, and it cleaned it up really well.
