I have a 1997 F250 7.3 turbo diesel we have break issues rear breaks lock up then release and twice now the front brakes have locked up to the point of over heating and damaging calipers. we have replaced the following items first started working on truck because the pedal would drift down while holding brakes on.
HAVE REPLACED
Master cylinder
Brake booster
vacum pump
vacum check valve
rear breake shoes and all springs and pins
front calipers, rotors, pads, (twice)
new fluid
hours of bleeding brakes
ABS light nor red brake lights are not on
I have read numorus post here about the RABS Valve we are now considering replacing it however everyone talks about this item and says it is located on frame under truck under drivers seat.
At the local auto parts store no one has a part by this name they show an ABS Hydraulic unit is available for this truck but they dont show ist location is this the same part ?
