Ya, it's definitely worth the little cost to get rid of the ads, along with helping out the site.

I can't actually remember what it was like before I was a supporter. You may be right. It's been over a couple days, so my mind is blank..

It made a huge difference to me as I was on dialup internet when I started supporting. I've heard some other guys saying they will never again support FTE because the guys on the forums are real harsh and disrespectful. Yup, it was guys with the newer trucks. The OBS forum is the absolute best. It's worth supporting FTE just for this single forum in my opinion.

So when I looked into becoming a Supporter a while back it seems I had to do it with a credit card that auto renewed every year unless I canceled, did I understand that right?
No other options. I would just want to try it for 1 yr.

Unless FTE changed the policy it's for 1 year only, or 3 years if you choose that option. When the year is up the ads come back, any attachments you have can't be accessed and PM count goes back down. However they do notify you 30 days or so before that time.

I looked and I think what they are saying is if you "UP" the support before the actual expiration date you don't lose any time. In other words when the old subscription runs out the new one takes over. Go for it ...

Nothing like supporting a multi million dollar company with more money.

Remember, IBServ owns FTE now. It's not private. =)

An add blocker takes care of all the ads.

And trust me, with this slow *** connection I have, I could tell if the pages were slower or not.
And well.
there is no difference.
