Loud fan?
Well, this isn't exactly a 7.3/6.9 question, it's a question about my 2.2 Diesel Ranger. I figured I'd at least see if you guys had any ideas though, considering the forum I go to for my Ranger is sloooooow. My fan is REALLY LOUD. Especially through 1st and 2nd gear. I think my fan clutch may be bad, but could this cause a loud fan? I'd really like to get it fixed it's quite annoying.

usually when the clutch goes bad, it doesnt engage at all, but sounds like yours might be stuck engaged. with the engine off, try spinning it. if it spins then thats not the issue. if it doesn't spin then that is your issue, and you just need to replace it.
