Streetrods, what you bought was pretty much identical to my truck, running boards and cap and all. Then from there I guess we went our separate ways - I actually lifted the rear of my truck by 2" to handle heavy loads without dragging *** and then built a massive front bumper so she can plow through stuff without taking much damage, while you made a very nice and clean daily driver. I like my truck as it just screams get out the way, but yours is simply beautiful!!! How did you drop her, I guess you used the fancy beams in the front, but what about the rear - longer shackles and moving the hangers higher on the frame rails, or what?
TexasGuy, it may look horrid to you, but them folks like their trucks, and they obviously still get the job done, which was the point SVT was making.
Who says a bagged or lowered truck cant be a "heavy hauler"?
i wasn't saying they can't, just useing it as an example... i was really reffering to the "normal" one that you can jump on the interstate and see.. i haven't seen anything like those on the road
I never said those trucks couldn't get the job done. I bet they can haul stuff just fine.
I agree the stock stance on a 2nd Gen Lightning is not all that great. They need to be about an inch lower in the front and 2 inches lower in the rear.
Got to love the haters...I have read their replies to some of the threads..Just because it's not their thing they get mad..
Here is mine... I am the second owner...has 110,000 miles ...7.3 diesel and auto overdrive.. cleanest one for the year I could find.. did a 3/5 drop and put 19.5 wheels on it...
This truck is sick. Sure looks muscle AF. Looks a lot more stock also like a package. I like the narrow look of the 19.5 wheels I see on the armored trucks. Looking for tall/narrow tires for my SRW.
