c. chamber ridges
I pulled a head from an 81 F250, and found these ridges in the c.chamber. It is from a 300.
I am in the process of porting, and pro engine builder buddy says to remove the ridges. I have had the head shaved, and over-size valves put in, and the builder says the ridges are hindering flow.
I'd like to know why they are there, and if they should go. Is this an EFI swirl head?
