460 swap
I was able to talk to L and L parts today and if I understand what they have said. I am replacing a 390 CID and putting in a non smog pre 79 long block 460 with 1986 tin ware in a 1973 2WD F-350 and the only major change I need to make is with the motor mounts and towers and the transmission to make sure it is a C-6 to fit a 460 big block. I am assuming that the exhaust manifold from the 1986 460 will fit the new long block and the truck. I will also change the intake manifold for an Edlebrock and 750 CFM carburator.

Sounds about right,should work. I put a 460 in place of the 302 in my 79 f-100 . Get the correct mount towers and you are on your way. It was fun to have the 460 , but I'm changing it back. I liked the 18 mpg better than the 9.5 mpg. Good luck. JIM
