See if they will give you a 6 month warranty on the drive train. Worth a try.

Bringing up an old thread with a new prospect. It's a 94' with a 4 cyl, the one with 8 spark plugs. It runs and drives better than the 01' I drove. The only downside is it has 210,xxx miles on it. It is a supercab with a 5 sp manual trans, cruise control"first I've seen". The fellow wants $1,500. How much life do you think is left in this truck. I was really impressed with the power it had compared to the 01'. Thanks!!

What do you think of the price? It's the least expensive of all the trucks I have looked at but it is also the oldest truck I have considered. Thanks though.

Kelly Blue Book has it listed for 1,500 (fair) to 2,250 (excellent)

1994 ford Ranger ext cab 2wd, 4 cyl, 5 speed, 210k miles=$1,500

I think a lot of this depends on where you live and the number of trucks for sale. Where I live I can find a MUCH better deal just about everyday on CL......my 2 cents

imho....all these trucks need some work so I just try to buy the best deal with the understanding that i will need to go though it and do some repairs

i just looked fo r2 seconds on CL in Lousiana I found this. I would buy something lie this before the other truck 2003 ford ranger it might just need a clutch but if it needs a tranny I beleive they are all the m50d......you can get one pretty easily

*I just looked close. it says it has a new clutch so you just have to pop in a new tranny.

Thanks guys, he came off his price $100 so for 1400 I said I'll take it after I overlooked it for an hour or so. It does have a new or what looked like a recenlt changed clutch. Small engine oil leak. Probly the first issue Ill adress, it needs to be cleaned up underneath a bit.
