Well basically before 1993, the wheel wells were not rounded like later models, so 92 and earlier don't look so good with fender flares. On 93 and later the flares were mostly on 4x4's and the fenders have mounting holes pre-drilled at the factory. So if you are adding flares to a 93 or later 4x2, it is not as easy. Don't know if that answers your question or not, but if you can buy fender flares somewhere that are listed for your year and model, they should fit somehow.
