5.4 missing?
I've got a 2003 F250 with the 5.4 and a couple weeks ago I had a problem with it. It started running really hard one day. It idled rough and ran rough all the way up the tach. Basically, it felt like it was missing.
There are some strange thinsg about it though, like that it stopped when it warmed up, say after about 8 miles or so. Another thing, was that the "check engine" light did not come on. And it only did this for about 2 days and hasn't done it since.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows exactly what's up with it?
I've got spark plugs for it, but haven't really had time to change them yet.

Maybe you should get those new plugs in there and you might just find more clues on the issue while changing out the plugs. Just don't forget to change out the boots that between the plugs and cops.
