Not sure what engine you have. On the diesel you can do a v b code spring swap. This would improve the handling and gives about 2" in the front and 1.5" rear lift.

7.3 International! ahah. Whats the V B swap? im sorry im new to Excursions and diesels.
The V (front) and B (rear) code springs are the springs you would find in a 2500 or 3500 pickup. The springs are the same length and bolt right into place. You may be able to find a set in good shape with low miles from someone that did a lift which replaced the springs. The Ex stock springs are to soft and do not allow much wheel travel (about 1" in the front) before you hit the stop. Not sure why Ford did this. Maybe for a soccer mom ride or to fit in the garage easier? The V code spring is a straight swap. The B codes should be modified by disassembling and mixing with some of the Ex springs and spacers. The modification is simple and only takes a few minutes with a wrench and some C clamps. You end up with a spring that can handle more weight. The ride is slightly stiffer but not at all bouncy. Their is a lot of info on the forum about this swap if you search for it. I will put a picture of the modified spring in my album. All the spacers are used from the Ex spring and the bottom two leafs (shiny leafs in the photo).
If you do a search for spring swap you will also get the other threads that get you info on the X or W springs. The V's on the 7.3 will net you less than 2", where the other ones should net you 2". I just don't remember which of the two are a higher rating. Look for the ones with the snow plow prep packaged spring rates.
