Need help with my 351???
I currently picked up an 87 F250, 351w, C6 Trans for snow plowing this year and have some minor issues with it. It had some bad fuel in it and was not running well when on the highway, but I seemed to clear that up and ad a new fuel filter.
So now it starts up and iddles pretty well, but the minute you throw it in gear it wants to die?? It has I thik the 600 Holley carb on it. Deos anyone have any idea what it might need?? Carb adjustment??

Definately rebuild that carb. If its stock its probably a holley. If you know it had bad gas in the tank and lines, it had bad gas in the carb, and there it will build up and clog things up. Its an easy rebuild, just make sure you get the right kit. If its the motorcraft holley, autozone isnt going to have it. Order one from Holley. (speaking from experience on that one) Then the tune up...then go from there.
