My experience with Ranch Hand on the pickups is that they have no negative effects even in tropical conditions.

Those are all sweet. They are all super spendy too though. Eventually I will throw the doe for one but it's definitely not in the cards right now. Anybody know what I could get in the mean time that is similar in functionality but not so hard on the wallet? I want it to look good too.

Spool&Go, troll craigslist in major cities near you. I have seen a few pushbars go for a reasonable price around here. Just need to spend the time searching, check Excursion, F250 and F350 in your searches.
I almost picked up a tow truck pushbar...nice wide rubber plated front bumper that would take out a Hummer...but the wife got to override that decision.

Got a Ranch Hand full bumber installed last week. It actually has the opposite problem. Everything is too open. I will add a screen to protect better from large insects & rocks.
