Strange start when sorta cold
Ok, so when it's sort of cold out, like this morning it was 40 or 50 ish here in Central OK, and I go out to start up my truck, a 2000 7.3. Every once in a while, like today, I start the truck up, and it revs up and down a few times (5 or so). I can stop it by hitting the accelerator for a second or two. I was just curious to know if this was normal because it's getting colder, and what I can do to fix that. Thanks!

On my old truck, it would idle high and low just like you described. I did this maintenance and it went away.

I guess I should have clarified my post. If you are experiencing a rolling idle fluctuation, then follow the link I posted up for Guzzle's writeup. If it's a harsh rough idle like the engine is trying to die then catches, stumbles then runs, then Phil's got you covered, it's the romps.
