blowing fuses

i have a 2000 expedition eddie bauer.
The 15 amp fuse for the cruise, rear backup warning, and running lights has blown 20 times in 3 months. Ford has looked at it 5 times and still has not fixed it. Any help out there for me and also for these poor ford mechanics??

Seems to happen when i put it in reverse.

blowing fuses

Sounds like a pinched wire near the trans. I would let the dealer keep on it. Good luck.

Have an electrical specialist check your suv over. A person who rebuilds alternators or installs car stereos may be your best bet.

I am not an expert but it sound to me like you have a loose wire or two wires touching.

Had any transmission work done lately? Maybe a wire in the gear shift mechanism is exposed. Also check your reverse lights and bulbs.

Check out all of these things on your own and don't let Ford shirk their responsibility by law.

In MD as well as other states there are "lemon laws", i.e . If the same problem occurs three times or more you may have a right to another vehicle or your money back, no matter how small the problem is.

Whatever you do and whereever you take it save your documentation.
