I went to go to work this morning and ste won't start!!
This happened yesterday too. She was all warmed up and running fine. I turned off the engine and went to turn it back on ten mins later and it took forever to start. Like it wasn't getting fuel. Once it started it ran fine. This morning I can't get her to start. I used up all my battery cranking her over and then went to a second on cables and killed that.
I'm down to a quarter tank of gas and I also have never looked at the fuel filter. It's not too cold this morning but it is rainy although the engine is dry.
Any ideas?? I need to get to work tomarow. I have tons to do!!!
are your points dry? you mentioned it was raining. mabey you splashed a puddle or just the humidity. i don't know how you fix that i live in the mojavie / sonoran desert.
are you getting spark. i know hard to test for that in the rain confortably at least.
we know you ignition and starter and neutral saftey are ok those go out alot too but, if you killed two batteries then we know that is good.
Lol!!! I was very afraid it was going to come to that. She ran great untill I braught a 460 home. Now she is nickle and diming me to the point I can't get the parts together for the 460. It's my only mode of transportation right now so I need to keep her on the road.
These old Fords can be like farm animals. Sometimes they just get in moods where they want attention. I think that opening the hood once a week, even if you don't do anything, helps to keep them happy.
yeah i had a jelosy problem between my 79 devil and my 79 250 when one worked the other didn't as soon as one messed up the other would perk up and run great.
honestly though those two were gonna need to go to couples counseling.
