I assume you are referring to the power steering/hydroboost system and not the master cylinder? Master takes brake fluid

Yes, I did use ATF fluid in the power steering unit!

Indeed it is, funny thing is my buddy is a mechanic and he laughs at me because I flush my brake fluid, PS fluid, all my fluids about once every couple years or so.

Live and learn I guess but if you need any further information on bleeding the system and such here ya go from Mitchell....
