79 bronco outer axle upgrade!
I just bought a d44 hp axle out of a 79 bronco and I was wondering if there is an upgrade for the 19 spline outer axle. I have heard of some people modifying ch#$% 30 spline outers to work but don't know the details............Oh and I know I have a jeep but My plan is to have an all FORD drivetrain by the time I am done, that should really **** off the jeep guys! TIA

79 bronco outer axle upgrade!
Get outers from a late 70's f20 with a HD dana 44 at a junk yard. Do a search in projectbronco.com several people on that board have done the conversion. It will be 8 lug then so pick up a $200 dana 60 rear from an f250 as well.
