replacement engine

I appreciate all the helpful replies on the latest part of my post in regards to a broken tap.
In exploring other options (extreme measure), will a 351 Cleveland or Windsor fit my 1980 F-150? Presently, I have a 351 Modified. Is it only the 351's that will fit? Mind you, I wouldn't want to do any mods to make an engine fit.

i believe that any 351 up to a 460 will fit that engine bay the only mods will be the tranny bellhousing. the engine mounts might need to be changed

The only engine that will bolt in with no modifications to what you have now is a 400 or another 351m

to add, the engine that would need the least amount of mods to fit after the 351M or 400 will be a 460.

...Because the transmission bell housing will bolt up to the 460's block.
But you will still have to change the frame perches and motor mounts attached to the engine crossmember.
And depending it's likely you'll have to change the entire engine electrical harness as well.
