Tapping at startup

Greetings all,
I have question...I have a 2005 Supercrew with the 4.6. I bought it used with 22K miles on it. I religiously change the oil and filter around 4k since I drive mostly highway miles. I use the recommended Motorcraft oil and filter. Until recently the motor has always been very quiet at startup...no matter what the outside temperature...no matter if it's been sitting for a couple days...it's always started up without any kind of internal engine noise. It now has 86K miles on it, and within the last month or so I notice a tapping noise at startup. It goes away after a few seconds but the noise is really distinct. It sounds like a single lifter is making the noise. It still runs as good as it ever has except for this noise. Does not use any oil between changes.
Is this anything I should be concerned about? Or is is just that the 4.6 is getting some age and mileage on it? I only have the idiot light, not an actual oil pressure gauge. I appreciate any insight.

My 5.4 does the same thing. The dealer/s have said this is a normal problem. Although I thought is was for the 5.4? They all said this was caused by an excess of stored oil pressure that causes the phasers to make some chattering on startup. Mine has done it for 15-20k with no difference in performance or drivability.
