So my truck is in need of new brake pads, rotors, flexible lines and maybe one rigid line (for cosmetics).
I'm going to go ahead and try a set of cryogenic rotors and see what their like, and I'll post back results some time in the future. But what I'm really wondering is, What is your opinion on brake pads? I'm looking for a set of pads that will get me stopped quick and make as little dust as possible.
What brands have you guys used and how did you like them?
I am also curious on brake fluid. I've almost always used Prestone DOT 3 brake fluid, but I know that some brands may have higher dry/wet boiling points then others, even though they all meet DOT 3 specs. Can anyone point me in the direction of a above average brake fluid?
Prestone Synthetic Brake Fluid. High boil point formula meets/exceeds DOT 3 specifications and can be used for disc or drum brakes. Recommended for anti-lock braking systems. Great stuff. Been using it in my 87' since I got it 4 yrs. ago.
