OT: Impact Sockets

I just got my impact socket set in the mail from Sears and they are covered with grease. Is this normal?

Yes, it's to prevent them from oxidizing. Spray them down with WD40, wipe them clean while leaving a thin coat of the WD40 on them. Repeat periodically to keep em' purty...
