water temp problem

ok guys mayby u can help me out i cant seem to get my 78 351m to heat up the guege only move right off the 1st line and thats it

Thats what mine does too. These stock gauges suck anyways. I would get a mechanical gauge and remove a plug from the block or head that goes into a water port and install a mechanical gauge that has numbers. You can also use a laser temp sensor. I would be more worried about it running on the other end of the gauge.

yes thats true but dont i need to get it up to nomal temp range

Check it with a mechanical gauge. It may be okay. Have ya got much if any heat from the heater? That should give ya some idea if it is warming up at all.
