Just stepped into the F350 world today with a 2002 7.3 Crew Cab. Thanks for all of the knowledge gained from stalking this site over the past few weeks. This forum helped me filter the list and find the typical problems, eliminating a couple of POS's that I came across.
Thanks for the nice feedback. I'm fairly confident that it's a 7.3, but I'm not an expert. The VIN lookup and documents all show it as a 7.3. This truck is going to pull my car to and from the track, so I wanted something reliable and comfortable. I looked at a lot of Fords before I found this one.
The bars have lights.... no idea where they came from but they are nice.
It has a Quadzilla installed. It's a noticeable bump in HP when cycled through the settings. It also has boost, exh temp, and tranny tem gages, so I'm hopeful that the previous owners took good care not to over stress the drivetrane. Time will tell.
