has any one tried royal purple oils and fluids in their cars & trucks.. i wonder if this stuff works as well as they say it will. what do you guys think???
I'm wondering the same thing cause I was thinking about using it in my 302 I'm gonna have rebuilt soon. I have herd nothing but good things about it but it would be good to hear some testimonies from guys on here with experience.
i know what you are saying cause i want to use it in my 351w and i to want to here from these guys as well..i don't think that they like oils like this most of them call them snake oils. are you planning on using royal purple with everything or just the engine cause i was thinking of swapping all fluids
I have no experience with RP. however, i dont know of anyone running it in a competition engine. For the street there are lots of options. I used to run synthetic in my diesel. I noticed easier starts in the winter but as far as economy, and performance, i could tell no difference.
Even the regular oils now are way ahead of what they used to be.
(except for the lack of zddp)
I'm one of those guys. I've seen many, many engines cross the 200K mile threshhold and several make it to 300K with nothing but regular dino oil and good maintenance. What else do you need? If it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside to use that stuff, it certainly won't hurt anything, but I'll lay odds that the only dividends that will be paid will be to the Royal Purple stockholders. Your engine doesn't care.
well Blue Oval i'm kinda with you on that regular oil will do i was just trying to see if anyone had tried RP with any sucess.. i take all my vehicles to the dealer for the oil change a tire rotation anyway..this keeps me from messing up the driveway i'll just order some zddp and keep on truckin'
