I just installed new autometer gauges and my egt's seem low compared to other threads I have read. I'll be happy with the egt's if they are accurate. Here are some numbers I'm seeing:
EGT's 120 tune
idle: 100-200
light throttle 200-300
med throttle 3-400
wot max I saw was 700
Boost max was 20 psi in any tune but I have not tried stock yet . So do these sound about right or could there be a problem with the guage? The only thing I found on the install was the two end connectors that attach to the gauge were to small. So I got a bigger connector and soldered those on. Maybe I got the two ends mixed up? I didn't really think about this until afterward. Hopefully that would not mess up the calibration. Thanks for any input.
That's what I was thinking comparing them to other threads. Maybe it is my programmer? I didn't really notice a difference in egt's between 50 hp and 120hp tune. The 120 tune does seem to have a little more power but still only hits 20psi. Is that just from the wastegate and programming? I don't really have a way to test the guage w/o another one installed.

So you have two plugs, one for the gauge, and one for your probe?
My probe was hardwired, but I dont think it would make a difference if it was backwards wire is wire...
Ok Grant. I did a short jog down the interstate.
Isspro ev2 pyro, probe in drivers side up pipe.
Cold idle 200* (cold start, idle less than 2 mins)
warm idle 375-400* (truck completely warmed up)
light throttle 0-30mph 400*
normal throttle 0-60 600*
Full throttle 40-80mph 800*
70mph highway stock setting 600*
70mph highway 80e setting 600*
Full throttle 60-80mph 80e 1100*
75 mph 120 race setting 650*
Full throttle 70-80mph in 120 race 1200*
Normal accel 0-50mph 80e 800*
Light accel 0-50mph 80e 700*
Thanks Frank. You didn't have to do that, glad you didn't get a ticket. That will give me some good info for a comparison. Just looking at the idle warmed up, I'm off 200. If I added 200 to the other numbers that would get me in the ballpark where you are at. I guess I'll just lower my egt limit to 1000 .

Always willing to help out.
Did you make sure the end of the probe was about dead center of the pipe before you tightend the jam nut?

Mine only has one plug for the lights. There are two wires with round connectors on them. They would not fit on two studs. I was thinking the other end the wholes on the connector might of been bigger and would of fit. This was an afterthought and to late now I already put on new connectors and soldered those. I can't see this changing the calibration but who knows. I did read on one site not to splice the wires because it could cause problems.
Hey Grant, my EGT numbers are more in line with Frank's numbers, nice of you to do by the way Frank. Maybe its because the Bully Dog doesn't add a ton more fuel reletivly speaking to a custom tune. Your numbers might be right on so to speak. The only way to tell is get some custom tunes
