Need new distributor?

I have an electrical issue that nobody seems to have any real answers for. I've had this issue for over a year. <o></o>

Brief History: 91 Econoline, E350 Van, Electronic Ignition, Fuel Injection<o></o>

Van doesn't start, I remove the cap from from the Ignition Coil, put screwdriver next to Coil "plug", turn engine over, NO SPARK. In the past, it wouldnt start, then the battery would wear down, therefore lowering the voltage going into the coil. Id get a jump and many times it would all of a sudden start. <o></o>

But lately, with no spark, Ill have 12.5 volts into and out of the coil, yet no spark. Ive checked all affiliated wiring around the coil, no shorts, etc. Ive replaced the coil a couple of times, also replaced the ignition module. No luck. A couple of months ago I was eventually able to get a spark by QUICK TURNS OF THE KEY. It will then run for a couple of days or even a couple of weeks, then eventually doesnt start. Ill then do QUICK TURNS OF THE KEY and eventually it gets a spark and starts. My mechanic is at a loss, but guesses it may need a new distributor. <o></o>

Some additional info.....
Sunday night, due to the above problem, I couldn't even get a spark like I usually get after QUICK TURNS OF THE KEY. I did have a spare coil ready, which I quickly changed and it started up. Then it started right up yesterday.........and today, which it ran for about 30 seconds, then died. Thought I'd share this additional info.
