Engine Electronics

I have a 351w that I will be putting in my merc. I got the engine from out of a econoline van, and was told by the guy I bought it from what I could come by and pick up any extras I need.
My question is what so I need as far as electronics from the van? There are several plugs on the harness that plugs into the dist. I believe it also plugs into a couple sensors?(correct me if I'm wrong) What do the other plugs plug into?

There are probably a few wires with plugs on them that weren't used by the factory. The van could have had aircond. What year of van was it? Do have any pics of the motor and the wiring harness? There should be plugs for the oil pressure sensor and the water temp sender.

The engine is a 1976. It's carbed, and I will be switching the intake and carb to a aftermarket. The only harness he gave me was the one directly hooked up to the dist. It was plugged into the dist, coil, oil pressure sensor and the water temp sensor. Will I need the ignition module? What else will I need?

What Mervy said. You'll need the Duraspark box to work with the Duraspark dist.

Well, if you are planning on using any of the electronics, I suggest you take ALL OF IT. You can always throw away what you don't need later.
