my 99 f150 offroad came with the aquatread tires.. supposed to be the top of the line tire.. except in the rain they slip all over,, ironic. and i have had two front flats, both sides with nails going in the big "water gaps". keep in mind most of the time my truck is weighted with tools and tile materials. in the winter i put 70lb bags of sand , three on each wheel well. that helps,, especially when your flying across the lake jumping drifts int he middle of nowwhere.. and yes i did bury it. not a shovel would help but my margin trowel and sand got me out in time before i froze in the sub zero tempertures and on my way i went again in the middle of night jumping drifts. for the first time i was using my truck like it was made and was a blast.
