TRUCKIN’ FAST Ford F-350 Diesel Crushes Built Chevy
This week’s Truckin’ Fast video is unusual as it starts off by showing a 2009 Ford F-350 Super Duty getting beat in a street race by a built Chevrolet Silverado 1500. I generally avoid featuring videos that show a Chebby beating an F Series pickup in a race, but this video ends with a second race after the F-350 has added some very minor modifications.
In the first race, the Silverado wins by a fair margin thanks to a built engine when the 2009 Ford F-350 – which is stock other than a tuner –falls off after a good strong start. Prior to the second race, the owner of the Super Duty has added a 4” exhaust package and a new tune. Will that really be enough to beat the Silverado after the first race?
The answer is a resounding yes, as this F-350 hands the cammed Silverado a pretty sound beating which is pretty impressive considering the short mod list of the F-350, the longer mod list of the Chevy and the fact that the Super Duty is a much bigger, much heavier truck. Such is the beauty of monster torque of the PowerStroke Diesel. Enjoy!
