While Curt Schilling has become best known for hurting people’s feelings on the Internet, back in 2004, he was one of the best pitchers in baseball. In 2004, he was traded from the Arizona Diamondbacks to the Boston Red Sox and in this Ford F-150 commercial, the all-star pitcher is hitchhiking across the country to his new gig in New England.

Along the way, he has the opportunity to ride in a Ram 1500 and a Silverado 1500, but he declines in both cases. However, when a 2004 Ford F-150 comes along, Schilling jumps in for a ride. Along with his Red Sox hat and Red Sox bag, Schilling heads off into the distance with the owner of the F-150 and when the driver asks where the baseball ace is headed, he explains that he is off to break an 86-year old curse…and he did.
